goodbyes to Ed and Elaine.

Terry's confession
Wilson forces fearful Terry Valentine to
tell the truth about what happened to
Jenny: Valentine accidentally killed her
when she threatened to call the police
about his criminal activities. Avery
helped cover it up. This brings it all full
circle for Wilson: the pattern started
with him; he sees know his own
responsibility for what happened to his
daughter. He leaves Valentine alive on
the beach.

Wilson chases Valentine onto the
beach
Valentine terrified, running and
shooting and missing until he injures his
leg. Wilson gives chase, fearless, not
even holding a gun.

Terry flees the house
Terry starts to panic. Wilson attacks
him. Adhara stabs Wilson in the back
and Terry gets away, stealing dying
Avery's gun as he goes. Avery draws a
second gun on Wilson, but then lets him
go. Wilson chases Terry down the
steps.

Avery shoots at someone through
the window
But it turns out to be his own hitman,
Stacey. So Stacey's friend Uncle John
shoots Avery. Shootout between
guards and Uncle John leaves them all
dead.

hiding out. Avery tells Valentine he has
his guys looking for Wilson, and Wilson
won't be able to get through the
bodyguards.

what he means.

Stacey makes his own plan
Avery wants Stacey to go after Wilson.
But Stacey decides that since
everybody wants Wilson so bad, Wilson
must have something valuable. He
decides that he and John should let
Wilson and the others shoot it out, then
they can swoop in for the profit.

Drives in convertible with Adhara. She
thinks they're being followed, but learns
it's just Avery and a bunch of security.

Wilson gives his big rambling speech,
pretending he thinks the DEA agent is a
rival crook after Valentine. DEA agent
learns Wilson's angle, lets him know
about Valentine's Big Sur house.

The airport
Wilson steals DEA agent wallet. He and
Elaine are taken to the airport. They
talk about Jenny. Elaine says he was a
ghost in her life. He tells of how she
used to threaten to call the police on
him to keep him from his crimes.

Avery returns. Valentine tells him the
cover story for Gordon's death. Avery
tells Valentine that Wilson is Jenny's
dad. Gordon's body retrieved from
canyon. Valentine sees that Jenny's
photo has been taken from its frame;
Wilson looks at it as he drives away
from the house.

Avery rams their car; shoots at them
with a shotgun. They ram Avery's car
off the road and get away. But Avery
learns Wilson's name.

the hill. Flashes to Jenny's last ride.
Eduardo asks if Wilson killed Valentine,
but Wilson says that would have been
too easy. "He's got to know why."

we see out of focus in the background:
Gordon confronts Wilson, and Wilson
headbutts him and throws him off the
deck to his death.

several times. Eduardo intervenes to
keep him from doing it. Avery spots

Wilson sneaks into the warehouse
Tries to question the men, throws them
off balance with his Cockney act. They
deny knowing Valentine, but he takes
Valentine's card from their Rolodex.
They take Wilson's gun, rough him up,
and throw him out on the street.

He walks back into the warehouse.
Camera stays on the street, and we see
only muzzle flashes as Wilson shoots
the men. One goes running, and Wilson
calls after him: "You tell him. Tell him
I'm coming. Tell him I'm fucking
coming."

Valentine: King Midas in reverse. Sleazy
older music producer with a too-young
girlfriend, Adhara. She asks why they
need that scary man in the house
(Gordon the bodyguard).

Set-up. Wilson arrives in L.A. to
investigate his daughter's death. Meets
Eduardo and Elaine and gets his first
lead, the warehouse—where he kills
several men while searching for info
about Valentine and Jenny.

Conflict. The first half of the act is
centered around Valentine's party,
which Wilson crashes with Eduardo; in
the second half, hitman Tracy goes
after Wilson, which leads to Wilson's
DEA detention, where he learns of
Valentine's Big Sur hideout.

ACT THREE
Resolution. Everybody converges on Big
Sur for the final showdown, where a
bunch of people die and Wilson learns
the truth about Jenny's death.
